DIRECTIONS

Coat clean, wet or dry hair with a thick, generous coating of PHILIP B® Katira Hair Masque. Comb it through from roots to ends to distribute the product evenly. Leave on until the masque dries to a hard shell. (To help the treatment sink in further, wrap hair in a hot towel, or use blow-dry on a warm setting to speed the drying process). DO NOT SHAMPOO OFF. Simply rinse well and commence styling.

MY REVIEW

The process of applying the masque seemed odd to me, you are told by the directions to shampoo and rinse your hair as usual, then apply the masque and let it dry completely. It was a little difficult to make time for the entire process, so it is not something I will use very often. The consistency of the masque is not thick like conditioner, and it also took a good amount more than conditioner for it to feel like it was well coated in my hair. After application it took around two hours to completely dry. Once it began to dry my hair felt crispy like there was holding gel in it. It was easy to wash out, and after I washed it out I conditioned as normal.

Next time I use it I will definitely blow-dry my hair to speed up the drying process. Afterwards I noticed that my hair was smooth, my curls were more tamed, my hair was soft, and it was weightless. Overall it did improve the health of my hair, so the process was all worth it in the end.

PROS

  • Tamed curls
  • Made hair weightless
  • Protected against humidity
  • Made hair shiny
  • Softened hair

CONS

  • Took long to dry

I recommend this product to anyone who needs a hair pick-me-up!
